Fade- In Transition: (0:04-0:05)
-A fade in transition is when the screen fades in from typically a black or white screen. This transition signifies the official opening of the scene, and it fades into a crowd of people waving to the ship which allows the audience to acknowledge the fact that the boat is leaving. The transition also gives the audience an idea of the size comparison between the ship and the people so in a way the ship looks intimidating to the audience.
Straight Cut: (0:11)
This replaces the overall beginning scene, and it cuts to the crowd point of view. This makes it easier for the audience to see the enjoyment and feeling of excitement of the people on the boat and off the boat as well. You are able to see them waving and there is also a camera man which could also let the audience get the sense of importance from this scene.
Long Take: (0:04-0:37)
These particular scenes are elongated. This particular scene takes over 2 to 3 seconds, it is overall 32 seconds long. since the scene is longer, the audience is able to see the structure of the ship and it also allows the wardrobe of the people to be seen, giving hints to the possible time period of the movie or the event. The overall scene could create thoughts of wonder or curiousness in the audience because the introduction wants us to know that the people on the ship and the ship itself are significant, but they don't quite know why yet.
