Its me again blog, I know you're probably tired of me but we not done yet!!!!! costume 1- Beth Sinclair This is the costume of Beth Sinclair. She is a high schooler who has a very mellow fashion sense. she likes to be comfortable during the day but also likes to look fashionable. We felt as though this outfit was the best way to express that.    Dirk Derk This is the costume of Dirk Derk. He is a Chill student who likes to hang out with his friends, they are all he has. He has a basic sense of style but likes to add a twist with his rings. His phone reflects his aesthetic of basicness.

Preparing to Film

WAZAAAAAAA BLOGG !!! Today me and my group discussed the difficulties of preparing to film. Difficulties- We have some difficulties with deciding how and where to film. We have to align each others schedules with one another so that we all have a set time on a certain day to film. Then we had to discuss where the location would be. some of us live far so we had to pick a location that was in  the middle point.  Actors- Samuel Izaguirre  Brooklynne Malave Madaline Vasquez(me) Costumes- For the costumes we were just going to use our own clothes since we are regular high school teenagers and that's who the characters in the story are. Of course we would have our own set styles that fit to us personally.  Props- We have decided to use props like rope, Potato sacks, and duck tape. These are used to represent a real kidnapping in the film. We used these props to really exaggerate the effect of the kidnapping and make it seem more real. There's is also going to be pho...

Mood board for Opening Sequence

Image
Wassssuuuuup blog!!! Today we had to create a mood board for the opening scene. It includes the costumes, main characters, setting, lighting, props and so on. In the top portion I tried to give a resemblance of what the characters might wear. They are high schoolers who just got done with school and they decide to go to the forest behind their school so the outfits are to imagine them just getting out of school that's why the outfits are not sporty as people would think they would be. The props are the kidnapping tools that are going to be used like the duct tape, rope, and like a bag over the head. They also have their backpacks and phones. There's the setting of the forest with natural lighting and 3 friends in the forest, then the setting of the school bathroom with sort of yellow tacky lighting.

View Other Student Work

Hey guysss, back at it again with another blog. Today in class we watched a sequence of videos that other students created, and we now have to review them. So, here's my review of each video 1.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=nYpjHCwRO6Q 1) Dare to Thrill This first video was actually probably in my opinion the best one. The beginning I would say starts off with an over the shoulder shot of the group and a series of tracking shots when the people are going up the stairs and also faint music which hypes up the audience so we can probably tell that they are having fun in the film as of right now. Then there is a master shot of the setting which is a parking garage. The video also has a variety of focus in the clip, like rack focus when the focus changes from the people to the car that they found. Then after when they enter the car there is a montage of them turning up the music, driving the car and speeding around the parking garage as well as the road. There co...
